Question:459 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the purchase of a site in respect of a school (details supplied) in County Cork. [6856/02]

The timing of the acquisition of a suitable site for the school referred to by the Deputy depends on a number of factors including the out come of an assessment of long-term enrolments. It is not possible at this stage to say when the process of acquiring a site will be initiated. However, my Department will keep the school authorities informed of the position.
