165 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance the projected public service bill for each of the next three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6931/02]

At budget time, I published detailed information on the projected cost of public services in 2002 together with projections for 2003 and 2004. The projections set out at budget day are summarised as follows:

Further information is available in the detailed tables published as part of the budget day documentation – tables 1, 4, 4a, 5 and 5a refer.
The projections in relation to central fund expenditure and non-voted capital expenditure set out at budget day have not been revised at this stage. The Deputy will be aware that I am currently preparing the Revised Estimates for the Public Services, REV, which will be presented to Dáil Éireann tomorrow, Thursday, 28 February. The REV will include details of changes to voted expenditure announced on budget day together with some other adjustments arising in the interim period. The REV will also include the updated position in relation to SIF expenditure and receipts for 2002.
