98 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if payment of the maximum rate of subvention can be made to a person (details supplied); if this increased payment can be backdated to the date this person was admitted; and the way in which the figure was reached. [7321/02]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of health services in Kilkenny rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
