12 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the plans for the production of a tourism guide for Ireland specifically designed for persons with disabilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8031/02]
While my Department has no responsibilities in relation to the publication of tourism promotional literature, including guides, Bord Fáilte has advised my Department that it has commenced a major project aimed at providing comprehensive information for people with disabilities and how such information can be most effectively conveyed in future to them. More recently the board has indicated to my Department that it expects that information collected throughout 2002 is expected to be made available on line, through the tourist information office network and through the publications of the various national bodies representing providers of approved accommodation.
