110 Mr. Neville asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she will re-examine the criteria for participants to join community employment schemes in view of the situation of a group (details supplied) in County Limerick. [8410/02]
Eligibility criteria for community employment, CE, is focused on long-term unemployed persons in receipt of certain social welfare payments. I have no plans to change the current eligibility criteria for the programme at this time. I have no role in regard to participation in individual CE projects as such decisions are day to day matters for FÁS as part of its responsibilities under the Labour Services Act, 1987.
