82 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when the annual forestry premia will be paid to growers in 2002; the amount paid annually; the number of growers involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9596/02]
It is anticipated that payment of forestry premiums to eligible applicants who have returned the relevant application forms to my Department will be made by the end of the month. The amount for payment in 2002 is estimated at €44 million in respect of approximately 13,000 recipients.
