198 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has met the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources to resolve the difficulties which are delaying the progress of sewerage schemes in a number of sensitive areas where foreshore licences are required such as the seaside village of Cheekpoint in County Waterford. [10646/02]

My Department is currently in discussion with the Department of the Marine and Natural Resources in relation to foreshore licensing requirements for a number of water services schemes including the Cheekpoint sewerage scheme, with a view to facilitating compliance with individual scheme timetables.
