Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs when the next meeting of the British-Irish Council, involving the Taoiseach and the British Prime Minister, will be held; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8925/02]
Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Cowen): The next summit meeting of the British-Irish Council is scheduled to take place in Jersey in June 2002. The meeting will focus on the knowledge economy, the area of work in which Jersey has taken the lead role within the British-Irish Council.
