Written Answers. - Hospital Accommodation.

Brendan Kenneally

Question:

148 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a ward (details supplied) in St. Otteran's Hospital, Waterford has been condemned each year for the past three years by the inspector of mental hospitals; if his attention has further been drawn to the health and safety problems there; the steps he intends to take to rectify the problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10848/02]

Responsibility for the provision of this service rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
