Question:

255 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to a flooding problem in County Limerick (details supplied); his views on a proposal for works to curtail this flooding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11810/02]

Flooding problems in the area in question have been brought to the attention of the Office of Public Works by Limerick City Council. The Office of Public Works has agreed to examine the proposals put forward and has requested further information in this regard.
