Question:

109 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the proposed waste water and sewerage plant for Dungarvan, County Waterford. [12277/02]

This scheme has been approved for construction under my Department's water services investment programme. I approved contract documents for the collection and delivery system for the scheme in August 2001 and the submission of Waterford County Council's tender recommendation for these works is now awaited by my Department. Tender documents for the waste water treatment plant are under examination in my Department and will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Question:

110 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the new sewerage scheme for Ardmore, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12278/02]

The Ardmore sewerage scheme has been approved for funding under the rural towns and villages initiative and is being progressed by Waterford County Council as an element of a grouped design, build, operate project which will also address the requirements of six other towns and villages in the county. My Department is awaiting the submission of a preliminary report for the grouped project by the council.
