Vol. 553 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Dan Neville

Question:

200 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a slaughter premium payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick for nine steers slaughtered in July and September 2001. [13781/02]

The person named has received full slaughter premium payments in respect of four animals slaughtered under the herd number quoted, which is held in joint ownership, during 2001. The person named also received a national envelope top-up payment in respect of one heifer under that herd number.

The person named had nine other animals slaughtered during the period July to September 2001 under a separate herd number that was cancelled in March 2001. The person named was requested to have the herd number details at the slaughter plant amended to reflect the correct herd number. To date this has not been done and it is therefore necessary for the Department to transfer the details to the new herd number. Slaughter premium payment will issue on eight of these nine animals as soon as possible.

There is an outstanding query on one animal, the tag number of which has been notified to the person named, in relation to the slaughter status of the animal on the CMMS, cattle movement monitoring system. Payment will issue on this animal as soon as the slaughter of this animal has been confirmed.

John Ellis

Question:

201 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if his Department will make a REP scheme payment to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [13782/02]

Payment will issue to the person named within the next two weeks.

John Perry

Question:

202 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 156 of 17 April 2002 he will review a person's (details supplied) extensification premium in view of the documentation (details supplied); if this payment will be released; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13783/02]

As stated in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 156 of 17 April 2002, the person named has been deemed ineligible for extensification premium under the 1999 scheme. Unfortunately the new details supplied do not provide a basis for changing this decision.
