Vol. 553 No. 2

Written Answers. - Personal Injuries Assessment Board.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

109 Mr. O'Shea asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she has received the report of the interdepartmental implementation group on the establishment of a personal injuries assessment board which, she informed Dáil Éireann on 20 November 2001, was expected by the end of December 2001; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13638/02]

The Agreed Programme for Government contains a commitment to establish the personal injuries assessment board. I expect to present to Government, in accordance with the usual procedures, the report of the interdepartmental implementation group in the near future. I also confirm that I received the report recently. I intend to make the report public after it has been considered by Government.
