Vol. 553 No. 2

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

637 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the proposed new sewerage system for Tramore, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13502/02]

The Tramore sewerage scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2002-2004 as a scheme to commence construction this year. Contract documents for the collection and delivery system were approved in August 2001 and the submission of a tender recommendation to my Department by Waterford County Council for these works is awaited. The waste water treatment plant will be procured as a design-build-operate contract and the submission of tender documents for this element of the scheme is awaited by my Department.
