112 Ms Burton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when she expects to receive the report on comparative consumer prices in the Eurozone and consumer price inflation in the changeover period; if her attention has been drawn to the continuing concern among consumers that the introduction of the euro led to price increases; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The report referred to by the Deputy has not yet been completed. I expect it to be available within the next two to three weeks. It was commissioned with the objective of scientifically assessing to what extent the introduction of the euro was availed of to unjustifiably increase prices. I am aware of public concerns which have been expressed in that regard.
