Vol. 553 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Doctors.

Joe Higgins

Question:

291 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure Our Lady's Hospital, Crumlin, and Temple Street Hospital are in a position to regularise the post of a person (details supplied) qualified to perform bladder reconstruction operations in order that operations that may otherwise be delayed with grave consequences for patients can go ahead. [14478/02]

Services for eligible patients at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
