105 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance if a channel (details supplied) in County Westmeath which is in need of maintenance will be attended to as soon as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15181/02]

Maintenance was recently carried out on the channel in question which is part of the Brosna catchment drainage scheme.
