Question:1469 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the Westport fire station; if it has been approved; and if not, when it is expected to be approved. [15767/02]
Written Answers. - Fire Stations.
In August 2002 my Department issued approval in principle to Mayo County Council's proposal to purchase a site for the provision of a new fire station at Westport subject to certain conditions. Preliminary plans subsequently submitted by the council are under examination and are the subject of further queries between my Department and the council.
