Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Company Closures.

Dan Neville

Question:

192 Mr. Neville asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position regarding outstanding claims from a company (details supplied) at the time of the appointment of the liquidator. [16962/02]

Independent Insurance Company Limited, IICL, is a UK authorised insurer currently in provisional liquidation. The position is that the liquidation process is being dealt with under UK law. Irish policyholders with claims outstanding against IICL are creditors of that insurance company and are entitled to pursue their case with the provisional liquidators.
