525 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on the building programme for schools in the Dublin South-West constituency area; and the steps he proposes to take to reduce class numbers in the coming year. [15604/02]
My Department has an extensive primary school building programme under way, details of which are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie.
As regards reducing class numbers, discussions are held annually with the education partners regarding changes to the staffing schedule in a particular year. Once this process is completed, a circular setting out the staffing schedule for the next school year will issue to the board of management of all primary schools.
