Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Paul McGrath

Question:

706 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if an additional remedial teacher will be provided to service four primary schools, Rochfortbridge boys, Rochfortbridge girls, Tyrrellspass and Dalystown, in County Westmeath due to the large number of students who require additional help in this catchment area. [16936/02]

The schools referred to by the Deputy currently have a learning support teacher-remedial-service on a shared basis.

The needs of these schools will be taken fully into account in the event of additional learning support teacher posts becoming available for allocation.
Questions Nos. 707 and 708 answered with Question No. 623.
