753 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in having the maximum transport grant approved and payment made to persons (details supplied) in County Cork whose circumstances have changed and were notified to his Department; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that similar delays were incurred in previous years. Minister for Education and Science (Mr. N. Dempsey):

Payment issued to the family concerned on 11 July 2002, in respect of medical grant aid for the school year 2001-02. If the family did not receive the cheque in question they should contact my Department's school transport section, Portlaoise Rd., Tullamore, County Offaly with a view to having it cancelled, and a replacement cheque issued.
