Question:803 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources when matching funding will be made available to an organisation (details supplied) relevant to 2001. [15696/02]
Written Answers. - Sports Funding.
I can confirm that the Southern Trout and Coarse Fisheries Development Society have submitted their accounts for 2001 and are requesting payment of matching funds. Under the Fisheries Acts, as amended in 1999, my Department can make these funds available through the appropriate regional fisheries board. I can confirm that the regional boards have submitted estimates of the funding requirements for the development societies in their respective regions and I expect to make the necessary funds available, for dispersal by the boards, in the near future.
