904 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will consider creating a post of assistant psychologist to improve the services for children and adults with a disability. [15420/02]

On foot of a recommendation contained in the report of the joint review group on psychological services in the health services, published in March 2002, the Health Services Employers Agency has undertaken to give detailed consideration, in consultation with health service agencies, to the benefits that could be expected to result from the introduction of a new national grade of assistant psychologist in the health services.
