Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Medical Assessment.

Michael Ring

Question:

968 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo was medically assessed in Galway on 11 July 2002, in view of the number of his prior appointments that were cancelled; and the reason the Western Health Board did not respond to a previous parliamentary question in this regard. [15750/02]

The provision of services to the person named in County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. I understand from the board that a reply to a previous question on this matter has been issued to the Deputy, and that the person named has attended a urology outpatient clinic in July 2002 and has been given a follow up appointment for 2 January 2003.
