Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John McGuinness

Question:

1140 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason an application made some months ago for a medical card in the name of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny has not been dealt with; if the financial information submitted in 2002 can be considered and the decision to refuse, taken in 2001, reversed; and if the card can be granted on medical circumstances. [16748/02]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this case rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.

Question No. 1141 answered with Question No. 1024.
