1176 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been waiting over 12 months to have a shower and windows installed by the Southern Health Board under the essential repairs for the elderly scheme. [16980/02]

Responsibility for the administration of the special housing aid scheme for the elderly in Cork is a matter for the Southern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him.
