Question:1354 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will instruct the Land Registry to expedite a dealing for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [15876/02]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application under section 49, i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long pos session, of the Registration of Titles Act, 1964 which was lodged on 9 April 2001. Dealing number D2001SMOO2490C refers.
I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as owners, can take some time to process. I am further informed that notices of the application were served on parties with a possible interest in the property on 19 September 2002. I assure the Deputy that if no objections are received in relation to these notices within the next few weeks, this application will proceed and will be completed as soon as possible.
