Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Retail Sector Developments.

John Perry

Question:

175 Mr. Perry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if her attention has been drawn to the changes in the current margin of commission to agents selling services (details supplied) where it has been reduced to 6.5%; if she has received correspondence in relation to the changes; the steps which will be taken to redress this matter; her views on correspondence (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16155/02]

I am aware from representations which I have received and from media reports of the reduction in commission to selling agents of mobile phone top-ups. Negotiation of terms is a matter for the parties concerned in any business transaction subject, of course, to abiding with any statutory requirements which may be in place.
