1438 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the estimated time frame on when an application for planning permission for visitor facilities at Castletown House, Celbridge, County Kildare, might be lodged with Kildare County Council. [17443/02]

Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Cullen):

Problems have arisen around land acquisition which had been planned to improve access for visitors to Castletown House. A solution to these difficulties must now be sought prior to the submission of a planning application for the project.
