Written Answers. - Roads Projects.

Bernard Allen

Question:

197 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the details of the agreement worked out with farmers who are members of the Irish Farmers Association regarding major road development and land acquisition; the conditions of entry onto farmers' lands as a consequence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17568/02]

The agreement with the Irish Farmers Association, which came into operation on 10 December 2001, sets out the terms under which land may be acquired for the national roads programme. A copy of the agreement is available in the Oireachtas Library.
