Question:205 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the action he intends to take to provide colposcopy services to women in Cavan and Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18454/02]

Responsibility for the provision of colposcopy services at Cavan and Monaghan General Hospitals rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. I have, therefore, requested the chief executive officer of the health board to investigate the position in relation to the issues raised and to respond directly to the Deputy.
