180 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when the Quilty Mullagh sewerage scheme will commence; the funding which is available to meet this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18777/02]
The Quilty sewerage scheme which includes Mullagh has been included in my Department's water services investment programme 2002-2004, at an estimated cost of €4.4 million, to commence construction in 2003. In April 2002 my Department approved the briefs received from Clare County Council for the appointment of consultants to prepare contract documents for the collection systems and of a client's representative to produce tender documents for the treatment works for this and a number of other schemes in the county being advanced as a grouped project.
