Question:76 Mr. Murphy asked the Minister for Finance when the refurbishing at the Garda station in Newmarket, County Cork, will commence. [18649/02]

I am advised by the Commissioners of Public Works that tender documents for the refurbishment of the Garda station and official accommodation at Newmarket, County Cork, are being processed at present. It is proposed to go to tender in mid-December 2002 with a view to a contract being placed and works commencing on site at end of January 2003. This project is on the Garda priority list programme of works.
