Question:

370 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the total amount of Exchequer investment in non-national roads in each of the years 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and to date in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18997/02]

In 1997 and 1998 non- national road grants were financed by the Exchequer. However, since its introduction in January 1999, the Local Government Fund has become the main source of funding for non-national road grants. The information requested is set out in the following table:
