Question:158 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when all commonage framework plans will be released; and when farmers will be notified of the number of sheep in order that they can carry on their work. [18947/02]

Preparation of the commonage framework plans has been completed in most cases. The destocking percentages recommended in the majority of plans have been available for some time on my Department's website and others are added as they become available. In these cases letters notifying farmers with commonage land of their ewe quota for 2003 will be issued this week. The plans themselves will be published in electronic format on my Department's website and the technical preparations for this are at an advanced stage.
