Vol. 556 No. 3

Written Answers. - Freedom of Information.

Michael Ring

Question:

233 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will refer files to the Garda Síochána where it is established his Department has altered or withheld documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act, 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20094/02]

The Freedom of Information Act provides that in some circumstances, certain types of information are exempt from release. In this respect, I am not aware of any documents being withheld, either in whole or in part, by my Department other than under the provisions of the Act.
