Vol. 556 No. 3

Written Answers. - Diseases Incidence.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

553 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the levels of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B among expectant mothers at Waterford Regional Hospital to date in 2002 and for each of the previous five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20411/02]

The provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is, in the first instance, a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to provide the specific information directly to him.
