I have received the pre-budget submission from the Irish Senior Citizens Parliament. It has been the practice in recent years for the Minister of Finance to meet various interest groups in advance of the budget to hear, at first hand, the proposals contained in their pre-budget submission. In this context, I met a delegation from the Irish Senior Citizens Parliament on Friday, 1 November. I assure the Deputy that the issues raised by the Irish Senior Citizens Parliament will be borne in mind in the context of the forthcoming budget and Finance Bill.
