Question:116 Mr. Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the application for the back to education initiative by an organisation (details supplied) in County Cork. [23065/02]

An application for approval for part-time places under the back to education initiative community strand was received from the organisation concerned on 25 October 2002. The final date for receipt of applications under the initiative in 2002 was 30 October 2002. All applications for such places will be appraised having regard to the relevant criteria and guidelines which were made available to all intending applicants. Notification of the outcome in respect of individual applications will be issued at the end of November 2002.
