Question:

153 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the provision of a new school at Loughanure, Annagry, County Donegal. [24005/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 152 and 153 together.

My Department has an extensive primary school building programme under way, details of which are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie. Given the extensive nature of the current programme, my Department has no plans at present to initiate architectural planning for any further major building projects for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, the board of management of the schools in question should use the devolved grant to deal with any urgent health and safety works.
