200 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the way in which he can be certain that local authorities are carrying out inspections of site notices required under Article 19 of the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001, in spite of the reduced time available under these regulations; and the measures he has in place to monitor implementation of these regulations. My Department is actively monitoring the overall implementation of the new planning and development regulations through visits to local authorities and discussions with the relevant sub-committee of the City and County Manager Association, with whom regular meetings are held.
