Question:

195 Mr. Morgan asked the Minister for Finance when he will sign regulations to bring the National Roads Authority under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, 1997; the reason this has not happened to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24388/02]

I signed the regulations referred to by the Deputy, which brought the National Roads Authority and 31 other public bodies under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, 1997, on 22 November 2002, following the approval of resolutions in each House of the Oireachtas as required by the Act. The following is a list of the bodies concerned.

An Bord Bia, An Bord Glas, An Bord Iascaigh Mhara, Area Development Management Limited, Bord Fáilte Éireann, Bord na gCon, Central Fisheries Board, CERT, Digital Media Development Limited, Dublin Transportation Office, Eastern Regional Fisheries Board, European Regional Development Fund Financial Control Unit, Horse Racing Ireland, Housing Finance Agency, Irish National Stud Company, Marine Institute, NDP – CSF Evaluation Unit, NDP – CSF Information Office, NDP – CSF Information Technology Unit, National Drugs Strategy Team, National Milk Agency, National Roads Authority, Northern Regional Fisheries Board, North-Western Regional Fisheries Board, Railway Procurement Agency, Rent Tribunal, Shannon Regional Fisheries Board, Southern Regional Fisheries Board, South-Western Regional Fisheries Board, Teagasc, Western Regional Fisheries Board, Western Development Commission.
