Vol. 558 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Arthur Morgan

Question:

238 Mr. Morgan asked the Minister for Education and Science if work is approved and can proceed at St. Brigid's national school, Ardaghy, Omeath, County Louth; and when the work will commence. [24379/02]

My Department has an extensive primary school building programme under way at present details of which are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie.

In view of the extensive nature of the building programme, my Department has no plans at present to initiate architectural planning for any further major building projects for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime, the school's board of management should use their devolved grant to deal with any urgent health and safety works.
