281 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the reason the approval letter for lands (details supplied) has not been released; if he will instruct an official in his Department to meet with a person (details supplied) to ensure that it is processed instantly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application for afforestation grant aid on behalf of the person in question is currently being processed by my Department. Decisions on arrangements of the forestry schemes will be finalised in the coming weeks in the light of the budgetary situation for 2003.
