Vol. 558 No. 6

Written Answers. - Proposed Legislation.

John Deasy

Question:

156 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the policy issues being considered in the report of the interdepartmental group on the review of the Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1956; if this includes raising the age limit for betting on the tote; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25203/02]

The policy issues under consideration arising from the report of the interdepartmental group on the Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1956, concern mainly the function and structure of the proposed gaming and lotteries authority. They do not concern the issue of raising the age limit for betting on the tote.
