Vol. 559 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

119 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan can expect to receive area aid related payments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26104/02]

The person named included a new plot of land on his 2002 area aid application, but had omitted to enclose a map of it.

Following contact by the area aid unit of my Department with the herd owner, he submitted a map confirming the boundaries and location of the plot in question. His 2002 area aid application has now been fully processed with an area determined for payment purposes of 4.77 hectares.

The person named will be paid, as soon as possible, his full entitlement under the 2002 area-based compensatory allowance scheme. The person named submitted one application in respect of a total of nine animals for 2002 special beef premium. Payments due will also issue as soon as possible.
