145 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of staff in his office who are assigned to work on constituency matters; the staff who are employed for press or public relations matters; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26024/02]

There are 6.5 members of staff assigned to work in my constituency office.

The press and information office is part of my Department's communications unit. The equivalent of five whole-time staff members in the unit are assigned to press and public relations matters.
