Ireland and our EU partners have consistently condemned Iraq's human rights record but there is no evidence that the Iraqi regime has singled out the Christian community for persecution. The Deputy refers to a murder which occurred in a religious institution in Iraq. I am unaware, however, of any connection with the Iraqi regime.
