362 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will be authorising the participation of two Garda Special Branch officers to testify for the prosecution as requested by the Colombian authorities in the matter of the trial of persons (details supplied). I am informed by the Garda authorities that they have received a request from the Colombian authorities for two gardaí to attend at the trial in question. They have not taken a decision in this matter pending further clarification from the Colombian authorities and to this end they are in touch with those authorities about the matter.
